Obituary

God saw that a cure was not to be and wrapped his arms around James "Jim" "Wompy" G. Wimberger and brought him to his Heavenly home on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at the age of 54. On June 7, 1961, James and his twin brother, John, were born in Neenah to Sylvester and Marie (Rieschl) Wimberger. He was a 1980 graduate of Menasha High School. Jim had been working for the Neenah Foundry for the past 8 years. Jim enjoyed being outdoorsman. He loved spending time hunting and fishing whenever he could. Jim's greatest joy was watching his son grow into the man he has become. He was extremely proud of him and will be greatly missed by his son, Matthew Wimberger; his sister, Mary (fiancé, William) Van Lankvelt; his brothers: Cyril (Nancy) Wimberger and John Wimberger; sister-in-law, Barbara Wimberger; brother-in-law, David Brandtmeier; nieces, nephews, the Wirth family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Wimberger and a sister, Phyllis Brandtmeier.
A Celebration of Jim's Life and Sharing of Memories will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at the Stone Toad Bar and Grill located at 1109 Oneida Street in Menasha.

Jim's family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his friends for their loyalty, loving friendship and support.

Always enjoyed talking to Wompy when he came to visit. It didn't matter what time he went to sleep he was always the first to wake up. He'd make coffee and be ready to get to the day. He was a hard worker and all around great guy. So proud of Matt because he has these great values too.
